Ross Otis, owner of AAMCO Transmissions in Newnan, Georgia, brings a strong background in automotive service, leadership, and customer care to the community. With over a decade of experience in the automotive repair industry, Ross is committed to providing reliable transmission repair and honest auto repair that local drivers can trust.

Ross’s journey into the automotive world began early. Growing up in Southern California, he was inspired by his uncle, a shop foreman at a large Toyota dealership. After graduating high school, Ross was offered a position as a lube technician at the dealership. Through hard work and dedication, he quickly moved up the ranks, eventually becoming an Assistant Service Manager. During that time, Ross also earned recognition as a Toyota and ASE Certified Technician, building a strong technical foundation in diagnostics, maintenance, and vehicle repair.

Before opening his own shop, Ross gained valuable leadership experience working as a General Manager for a powersports company. That role helped him develop the management skills and business insight that ultimately led him to open his own AAMCO center in Newnan, GA, where he now focuses on delivering expert transmission service, diagnostics, engine repair, brake service, and complete car care for Newnan drivers.

Ross believes that trust is the foundation of great auto repair. He takes the time to explain complex vehicle issues in a way customers can understand, helping them feel confident and informed when making decisions about their vehicles.


When he’s not at the shop helping customers get back on the road, Ross enjoys spending time with his family and riding dirt bikes and street motorcycles. Although he moved to Georgia in 2018 for a career opportunity, he has quickly become part of the community, sponsoring local events and sports teams and looking for ways to stay involved.
